September was wild
What a month! I mean that in the best way, of course, and I am so ready to celebrate each day of another month starting tomorrow. That’s the trick, right, celebrating every day. Now, I’ll be the first to say that not every day is going to be great, but acting with intention and finding that little glimmer of hope has been really helpful for making the whole day seem better for me.
At the end of August, my aunt came to Ohio and we packed and moved all of my stuff up to Minnesota. I stayed with my longtime besties until my place was ready, and moved in on September 1. I finally settled in after a couple of weeks and have everything finally unpacked and the storage unit 75% organized as of today, September 30.
I’ve made it a point to wake up to see the sunrise every day that I can, so I’ve seen most of them this month. There have been a few days that were cloudy or rainy, but I still went out to greet the lake. This routine has changed my life in 30 days, I kid you not. Getting up every day for the past 30 days to see the sunrise, or see if there was a sunrise, has been so positive and makes the start to my day 100% better than prior days.
Walking on the beach has been so great but even the walk down the road within the neighborhood has been so rewarding. Listening to the waves when I read a book or work at my desk has been soothing to the soul. Watching the water glisten from my living room or having the sun set and stream through my windows really feels golden.
I’m excited to explore Duluth more and spend more time off off the grid at the cabin. Cheers to October and loving every day.
