Water before coffee

A while back I started drinking 30-40 ounces of water first thing after waking up. It has changed the way my body works and improved my digestion. Now, even before drinking water, I start my day with all of the water in Lake Superior. Even on my most tired mornings, or those mornings where I wake up on the wrong side of the bed, the lake revives and refreshes me. Hearing the water hit the sand, seeing the reflection, looking out on the horizon, and smelling the fresh air ALWAYS brings a smile to my face. I say “good morning” to the lake and take it in for a few minutes or more, and then go drink my water and make my coffee. Starting the day with Lake Superior is changing me for the better and I’m so grateful.

The physical proximity is making my life better mentally and physically. I haven’t felt this alive in months.
